- Free mp3 Download - get it here! This is an
instrumental exactly 9 minutes and 99 seconds long called Paradise
Lost (Book One), inspired by the work of John
Milton, the 17th Century English poet, where the multitude of
fallen Angels wake up for the first time in the lake of fire.
Milton
wrote: "Nine times the space that measures day and night to mortal
men, he with his horrid crew lay vanquish'd, rolling in the firey gulf".
This is the first track of an album called Narcissus, each
track will be available for free download until they total 9 tracks and
they become a CD release costing (yes, you guessed it) £9.
Due to the current economic situation, James has been forced to spend
more time getting gigs to pay his bills and so unable to record as much
as he would like. So,
rather than release the whole
album of 9 tracks on 09/09/09, James decided to post one track for free
download in order to
preserve the release
schedule for his series of numerological
albums.
The rest will follow at a suitable
time.
Narcissus in Ancient Greek myth fell in love with
his own reflection while a nymph named Echo fell in love with him while
herself only able to
communicate with him by repeating his own words.
According to the principle of Platonic Reduction there are only 9
numbers. These can be divined from a date or other significant
numerical value by adding the constituent numbers together until only a
single digit remains. This method usually assumes base ten for the
arithmatical process. eg 09/09/09 = (9 + 9 + 9) = 27 = (2 + 7) = 9.
Other tracks from the album will have titles of 9 letters or be in some
way concerned with self-regard, self-improvement, mirrors, echoes and
sacred geometry. |
