Historically, The
Bardic Picnic has been held in the grounds of Delapre
Abbey – a beautiful setting with an ancient connection to the spiritual
heart of the town of Northampton. In 2016, due to the refurbishment of
the Abbey, the festival was held at The Black Prince (Northampton) on
Sunday 7th August 2016 – 12.00 Noon to Midnight. James performed an
enthusiastically received set in the afternoon - some of which can be
seen here on YouTube, where James is introduced by
inimitable host and poet, Justin Thyme.
